The membership of the New York Nineteenth Century Society has been invited by Ms. Helen Hatch of Christie’s Auction House to view the works of art in their “Fashion in 19th Century Art” collection. Ms. Diana Bramham a specialist in the field will be our guide.
Before joining Christie’s as a Specialist for 19th Century Paintings, Diana Bramham worked as an appraiser at a private art advisory firm and at another auction house in New York. In addition to her work in the art market, Diana teaches undergraduate seminars and surveys in 19th century art at Rutgers University and Pratt Institute. Diana earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Wesleyan University and a Masters of Arts degree from Rutgers University where she recently completed her Ph.D.
The auction house is willing to customize the tour for our particular interests so when you register for this event please make some suggestions and we will pass them along.
