Our second annual beach outing – The New York Nineteenth Century Society will once again venture forth to Coney Island, this time to “History Day at Wonder Wheel Park.” Live Music, Entertainment & History! Dress in 1920’s garb and get a free ride on the Wonder Wheel, if you dare! Historic attire not necessary, of course, just an extra bit of fun as we support The Coney Island History Project. We suggest you bring a change of clothes/bathing suit to swim and relax at the beach. Picnic items are also most welcome. And of course, the usual – blanket, towel, sunscreen, and everything for a day of sun and surf!

MEET AT 1:00 p.m. ON THE BOARDWALK IN FRONT OF THE NY AQUARIUM. Do get someone’s cell phone number just in case you cannot find us – feel free to send a message to Rachel Klingberg at mlleviolet@nycsteampunk.com

RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY, AUGUST 12, ACCORDING TO CONEY ISLAND HISTORY PROJECT (not guaranteed that our members can make it on Saturday, but if it rains, they will hold the event on Sunday)
