Pancakes Aplenty Cooking up History at Brooklyn’s Old Stone House

Historic gastronomist and Nineteenth Century Society co-founder Sarah Lohman flips flapjacks over an open fire, and will recreate three historic pancake recipes: Pumpkin Cornmeal; Apple and Sour Milk; and Clove and Rosewater.

Thank to the over 300 people who came out to eat delicious hearth-cooked pancakes on March 6, 2010 at the Old Stone House in Brooklyn!

Please visit Sarah’s blog Four Pounds Flour for pancake recipes and her report on the event!
